Aphasia Development Log Part 2 - Demo Explained

*The demo MUST be played with headphones in order to get the full immersive effect (it also wont make much sense otherwise...)*
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setting and Instructions
The demo is set in the basement level of a huge facility. For more information about the story click here. Aphasia is generally a point and click game and therefore should only require you to use the mouse and (W,A,S,D) for movement, however in this scene you will need to use the keyboard too for the puzzle. A lot of the environment is interactive, so feel free to click around.

Demo Objective
You must try and solve the puzzle in order to proceed to the next level. The puzzle is in the form of a generator (hidden in one of the rooms) that you must activate in order to proceed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soloution
Id you're having difficulties with the puzzle, the solution is as followed:

1)By picking up the tape located on the desk, an engineer explains his account of an incident between two men called Lukas and Officer Adler.
2)You should switch on the lights at the side of the monitors and be able to see a combination lock on the door behind you.
3)If you turn left at the corridor you should hear an argument between those two men that ends with a scream and gunshot.
4)It is assumed that it was the actual argument between Lukas and Adler as Lukas has his name mentioned.
5)By entering the room where the noise was coming from you are presented with a row of lockers. By clicking on Lukas' locker the door should swing open and you'll find a number.
6)If you return to the combination lock, click on it and type in the number from the locker then you should be able to enter the generator room.
7)Simply enter the room and click the red button. You should hear a noise upon activation and if you turn around and leave the room the monitors should now be playing a short clip.
8)To finish the level, there is a door directly opposite the monitors that should now be open. Enter and approach the ladder.

Aphasia Development Log Part 1 - Game Outline

What is it
Aphasia is a exploration/puzzle game where the player is required to explore and escape the island they are stuck on after a shipwreck. My demo takes place in the basement level. Each level has a generator which the player must turn on in order to get to the next level. As the player is solving these puzzles they are also unfolding a story by collecting voice notes and other in game collectables such as drawings.

The story
Aphasia explores an old conspiracy that in the 1930s-40s the Germans had made contact with aliens and were beginning to construct UFO's . More specifically the story follows a fictional officer called Adler and his role in the conspiracy. To summarise, the gameplay is as followed.

*The player washes ashore an island after a shipwreck (the island is built, you can view it in the inspector)
*At the top of the island is a huge facility (not currently fully built)
*The player thinks they can see a helicopter at the top of the building
*Upon approaching the building they realise the building is locked and they must find another way in (the basement i.e the demo)
*The player must then power on a generator on each floor of the building, until they reach the roof. Through collecting voice notes and hallucinations, it becomes apparent that  this is a German testing facility and they are working on something much bigger than war.
*Once the player reaches the roof, they witness a UFO about to launch and suddenly a voice screams behind them, the player turns around a gun shot is heard and the screen turns black.
